Tallow is the rendered suet, or fat, that surrounds a cow's kidneys. It is what our ancestors traditionally used as a moisturizer, before man-made lotions were created.
Beef tallow is very nutrient-dense. Tallow skincare made from 100% grass-fed and finished cows is especially beneficial for the skin. It is deeply moisturizing while also offering extremely healing and nourishing benefits. Tallow is rich in vitamins A, B, D, E, and K. It's also naturally full of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), palmitic acid, stearic acid, collagen, and omega fatty acids 3, 6, 7, and 9. This makes tallow extremely compatible with our own skin sebum (the oils that moisturize and protect the skin). Tallow can repair damaged skin, improve suppleness, assist in skin regeneration, and protect the skin barrier. It has been proven to be anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, and anti-microbial.
Our tallow is 100% grass-fed and grass-finished, free of hormones, antibiotics, and vaccines. The cattle are raised humanely on regenerative, herbicide- and pesticide-free family farms.

+ How can I use tallow?
Tallow is wonderful as a daily moisturizer, and it is especially beneficial for anyone dealing with very dry, irritated skin or dermatological issues. You can replace all facial and body lotions with our products. The list of ways that our family and customers have used Timeless Tallow® is extensive, including: eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, keratosis pilaris, dry skin, cracked heels and hands, acne, chapped lips, sunburns, kitchen burns, radiation and chemotherapy burns and rashes, diaper rash, cradle cap, itching, bug bites and stings, shingles, poison ivy, wounds, cuts, scratches, bruises, chapped nipples from breastfeeding, teething gums, hand foot and mouth disease, fine lines, age spots, surgery scars, yeast infections, new tattoos, pink eye, face primer, aftershave, and so much more!
+ Is tallow safe for pregnancy and breastfeeding? Is it safe to use on babies and children?
Yes, our tallow products are safe for topical use during pregnancy, while breastfeeding, and for babies and children. We strive to use natural, gentle ingredients in all of our products. For babies under one, we recommend the Unscented Tallow Balm and Healing Balm. Always do a patch test first to see if there are any allergies or sensitivities.
+ Is your tallow 100% grass-fed and grass-finished?
Yes. We source our tallow from family-owned ranches that believe in regenerative farm practices. This includes rotational grazing and providing grass feed year-round. The cattle are not finished with corn and soy, which is extremely important when it comes to making quality skincare products.
+ How do you render your tallow?
We believe that dry-rendering our tallow produces beneficial and superior quality skincare products. Many tallow companies use the wet-render method. This method involves adding water and salt to "purify" and "refine" the tallow to achieve a white, odorless product. This method is repeated several times. Wet rendering strips away many of the valuable nutrients found in tallow and increases the risk of your tallow spoiling due to water being introduced. Dry rendering maintains the integrity of the tallow without altering the fatty acid profile. We strictly use pure suet, while many companies sell tallow cut with other trim fat. This is why you can experience a beefy smell and greasy feeling. Sourcing matters, as does using only 100% pure suet.
+ What is the shelf life of your tallow?
Timeless Tallow® products will last for up to one year if kept in a cool, dry spot. Always be sure to use clean, dry hands, as no preservatives are used. For best results, use within one year.

+ Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We have previously shipped to Canada, numerous military bases throughout the world, as well as various countries in Europe. Please keep in mind the time of year and weather conditions, as tallow can melt in the heat. Packages can also sit in customs for several weeks. If you are international and would like to purchase, please feel free to reach out with any questions.
+ What happens if my tallow melts?
Tallow runs the risk of melting when temperatures reach 80° or higher. Please be aware of this when ordering. We highly recommend that you track your order and bring in the package promptly when it's delivered. You may also choose to have an order shipped to your office or a trusted friend. We do offer an add-on option which includes an ice pack and thermal envelope. There is no guarantee that this will prevent melting if your order is delayed by USPS or if it sits in your mailbox for an extended period of time. If your order arrives melted, you can allow it to re-solidify, scoop it out into a bowl, and use a hand mixer for several minutes to re-whip your tallow.

We cannot accept returns on our products for hygienic reasons. We encourage you to carefully review the ingredients list and read reviews before purchasing any product. Although we haven't had a customer experience an adverse reaction in the 4+ years that we've been selling Timeless Tallow®, we understand that everyone is different and results may vary.
If your item arrives damaged or broken, please contact us promptly with your order number and photos. Please keep all packaging materials and the damaged item, as USPS requires us to show proof of damage when filing a claim. USPS asks that everything be brought in to your local post office for proof. We will work with you quickly and efficiently to resolve any issues with damaged or missing products.
