OUR STORY
Timeless Tallow® was born out of necessity for my family. After our first child was born, I found myself becoming more aware of our environment. I cared about what we were putting into our bodies, but it took me a while longer to question what we were putting on our bodies.
I began researching in depth in 2020 while trying to help my mom find something safe to use for her extremely sensitive skin. She had developed a terribly painful allergic reaction to what we eventually discovered was formaldehyde. Little did we know at the time, formaldehyde is a preservative used in most lotions, soaps, and haircare products, as well as in nail polish. The doctors prescribed steroid after steroid. My mom was desperate to find another solution. I asked her what she thought about trying tallow. She was open to the idea. Tallow wasn't nearly as popular back then and there weren't many options available. I soon decided to try making it for our family because I wanted to infuse herbs and oils that I knew would be beneficial. A friend and herbalist discovered what I was doing and asked if she could buy a jar. She was my first customer! Then she asked me if she could carry it in a local shop.
I started setting up at the farmer’s market. It was funny watching people's reactions. Most weren't very eager to sample it, but slowly, more and more customers were returning, bringing friends and family who were suffering from eczema, acne, radiation burns, sleep issues, migraines, psoriasis, and the list went on and on. It was an incredible feeling to hear a customer say, "My coworker/mom/best friend/sister-in-law told me that I needed to find you!" To this day, I am absolutely humbled and in awe at what Timeless Tallow Ⓡ has grown into. I give all of the glory to God!

Hello, friend! My name is Shelby and I’m the founder and crafter of all Timeless Tallow® products.
My faith is the foundation upon which I've built my life. I am so grateful for our Lord's grace and mercy. I'm a big believer in holistic living and I trust that God provides us with everything that we need to heal. Through the years, we've lost that knowledge, but I see so many of us coming back to it!
I'm married to the love of my life, Randy. We met at a mutual friend's wedding when he asked me for my number – and we haven't stopped talking since! I'm a proud mommy to Barrett and Laurel, and we are blessed to be able to homeschool them. They are the absolute biggest joys of my life!
I love Jesus, my family and friends, a nice glass of wine, a good book, soaking up the sun, the change of seasons, and The Office. I also enjoy baking, and it's even more fun now that I have two helpers! Baked goods are my weakness. I have a major sweet tooth. My family loves the outdoors, whether it’s swimming, hiking, gardening, camping, riding bikes, or just exploring our woods.
I can't adequately express to you the joy it brings me when you share stories of how my products have brought healing to you or a loved one! I feel tremendously blessed to know that I have touched your life in some small way. I believe that that's what we are called to do: love and help one another however we can. Our faith is our highest personal core value, and it drives every part of our small business. We give all the glory to God for our products and our success.
Giving Back
We have always been taught to tithe as a way of showing our gratitude to God for His blessings. It is an honor and a privilege to be able to do so. Each month, we choose a family or person that God places in our hearts and we provide them with what they need to move forward. In the past it has been a single mother, local charities, a family dealing with the devastation of cancer, a family dreaming of adopting a child, areas that have been hit by hurricanes, tornadoes, wildfires, and other natural disasters. We donate 10% of our total sales for that month to help ensure they get the support they need.
We at Timeless Tallow® struggle with sharing this because we don't want to draw attention to it and make it seem like we are bragging for doing what we consider to be the bare minimum in being good stewards of our gifts. However, we also know that it helps our customers to know that their purchase is directly helping someone in need. We can do this because of your support, and we are incredibly grateful!
